PAID DANCE OPPORTUNITY FOR 16-19YRS
Body Politic are looking for enthusiastic, committed and energetic 16-19yr olds who have a keen interest in Street Dance. Youth Dance Assistants will be placed on one of our exciting MWORD project in Rose Hill, Barton or Blackbird Leys.
Assistants will learn how to choreograph material, lead weekly warm-ups and help assist the Lead Tutor with running the class. This is a pilot project that we hope will contribute to providing evidence for a larger Dance Leadership qualification in 2019.
The MWORD project is an outreach project that has been successfully running for the past fifteen months. This Autumn we are running an exclusive 10-week performance project. Participants will learn new moves, create their own and strut their stuff at this year’s Dancin’ Oxford Christmas Light Festival in November 2018.
Assistants must be able to attend all nine sessions including the performance and a 1hr introduction meeting. Assistants will be paid £7.50 per session.
