Oxford’s Hip Hop Dance Academy
Body Politic proudly presents its brand-new Hip Hop Dance Academy. The Academy is a dynamic training programme designed for dancers aged 7yrs+ who are ready to grow in confidence, technique, and performance.
Launched April 2025, with Saturday sessions in Oxford, this academy is your chance to train with experienced professionals in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn foundations or an experienced dancer ready to refine your artistry, we’ve got a class for you:
- Juniors (Ages 7-11yrs)

Beginner / Intermediate (Ages 11–18)

Intermediate / Advanced (Ages 15+)
Over the term dancers will learn a wide range of Hip Hop Foundations including, Krump, Hip Hop, Breaking, introduction to Freestyle and more.
Classes are split into 1x 1hr foundation training and 1x 1hr choreography and led by experienced Body Politic dance artists.
Body Politic assesses the level and ability of your child at the beginning of each new term, giving each student a chance to be moved to a different level of class. In addition to this, classes are regularly monitored and any student we feel should be in a different level are moved throughout the term. This is always at the discretion of the teacher(s) and Artistic Director.

TERM DATES: Summer Term 18th April 2026- 4th July 2026
VENUE: Union Hall, John Henry Brookes Building, Headington Campus, Gipsy Lane, OX3 0BP
PARKING: Free parking is available in the car park on Gipsy Lane.
