hip hop Dance CLASSES
hip hop Dance classes In OXFORD
We have over 10 years experience running hip hop dance classes for young people aged 5-16 in Oxford. Classes are a fantastic opportunity to learn new dance skills, boost confidence and meet new people. At the end of term dancers have the opportunity to perform at Pegasus Theatre. Performances are free to attend and are a brilliant way to celebrate your child’s achievements.
Sessions are led by experienced instructors from Body Politic. All our teachers work hard to create a safe and supportive environment where students feel empowered. Classes are structured to include:
- Learning choreography
- Technique training
- Opportunities to create your own moves and let your creativity flourish!
Hip Hop Dance Classes run in term-time on Monday evenings at Barton Park Primary School, and Wednesdays at Pegasus Theatre. Book below, or get in touch to book a Free Trial Class admin@bodypoliticdance.com

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
This might be your first time attending Body Politic classes so we have put together some FAQs to help. Please do contact us if you have any other questions.
What does my child need to wear?
Students need to wear comfy clothes they can move in and trainers.
What does my child need to bring?
A bottle of water is advised and any medication they might require i.e. inhaler.
Do classes run during school holidays?
Unfortunately, we only run sessions during term time. However, we offer special workshops and holiday provision. The team will ensure that this information is circulated to parents and young people.
Can parents watch?
We ask that parents do not come into the hall to watch as this is sometimes distracting for the other children. However, at Barton Park Primary School there is a sheltered seating area with a view directly into the hall. Please note, this is outside so a warm coat is advised!
Can I get extra support for term fees?
Body Politic offers subsidised places for any young person in receipt of free school meals, or families recieveing child benefits or universal credit. We also recognise that some families may be affected by the cost of living crisis, and would like to offer support to those who may be struggling. Please email emj@bodypoliticdance.com for more information.
Our term time classes are delivered in partnership with Dancin’ Oxford.
