Body politic youth

professional training for 16-25yrs

Body Politic YOUTH is a brand new Oxford-based dance training initiative created to nurture the next generation of young artists.

The programme has been designed to provide opportunities for young dancers to train and develop as performers, dancers, and choreographers through the fusion of hip-hop, and dance theatre.

This 6-month training programme will be led by Artistic Director, Emma-Jane Greig and some of the UK’s most respected Hip Hop innovators and practitioners who will guide dancers to explore their own creative practice, and build their own identity as a young artist.

All of our practitioners work hard to share their expertise, nurture talent and create a supportive environment for young artists to flourish.

Body Politic YOUTH also includes collaborations with a professional dance company to create a piece of work that will be performed at thePLATFORM on 2nd March 2024 at Pegasus Theatre.

The programme will be delivered on Saturday afternoons for 2.5 hours per week and run from January- June 2024.

Body Politic YOUTH runs from 13th January- 29th June 2024

The programme includes:
