Celebrating 10 years, Body Politic are delighted to present theDECADE – a new showcase of hip hop dance theatre, featuring excerpts of Breezeblocks, exclusive performances by UK hip hop’s best and brightest hip hop artists and a co-created piece with the young dancers of Oxford.

Join us for a post-show boogie as we roll out the decks and play some soulful hip hop, beats and R&B.

By gathering together the dance artists, young people and audiences that have connected with the company across the decade, Body Politic will celebrate the past, groove in the present and look to the future of hip hop theatre.

Perform onstage with Body Politic! 

To be part of the showcase, Body Politic are inviting young people ages 14-19 years to attend a week-long residency where they will work with professional dancers to co-create a brand new performance piece for theDECADE. This is an exclusive opportunity for young people to develop skills, perform on stage and add their moves to the final piece! 

22nd- 26th August 2022 at Pegasus Theatre

10am – 4pm daily.
