DANCE LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Become a dance leader
Body Politic, Dancin’ Oxford and Pegasus Theatre will be delivering another incredible Dance Leadership Programme this October half term for young people aged 13-18yrs.
The Leadership programme is a nationally recognised qualification, and is a brilliant opportunity for any young person looking to undertake an dance intensive, boost confidence and develop their leadership skills.
Dancers will have the opportunity to participate in four days of dance training with some incredible Body Politic dance artists, specialising in hip hop and street dance styles. Across the four days, dancers will also plan, create, and lead their own classes.
Once young people have completed the full week’s training and submitted a finished portfolio they will receive a qualification through Sports Leaders UK.

Location: Pegasus Theatre, Oxford
*The cost of the training includes the cost of the qualification from Sports Leaders UK, a Body Politic t-shirt, 30hrs of professional dance training.

This year, Body Politic is launching its Future Leaders Programme for dancers aged 14-25yrs. Future Leaders is a 12-month dance leadership programme for 10 young people aged 14-25 from disadvantaged areas to develop skills and confidence to design and deliver hip hop dance classes and Family Dance Parties in their own communities.
